Drunken Elvis French Toast | The Jam Stand

The Jam Stand

 

Ingredients:
1 jar of Drunken Monkey Jam
3 eggs
1 cup milk
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
1 loaf brioche or challah (sliced)
butter
peanut butter
1/2 pound bacon
1 banana (sliced)
powdered sugar or syrup for serving (optional)

 

  • Pre-heat the oven 350 degrees fahrenheit 
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, cinnamon, and sugar
  • One by one, dip bread slices in mixture and let soak for at least 1 minute. For best result, let soak overnight.
  • Melt butter on medium heat 
  • Add bread slices and fry until browned, 2 minuted per side
  • In a baking sheet, layer half of the fried bread
  • Top with peanut butter and Drunken Monkey Jam and cover with remaining bread
  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • Fry bacon over medium heat and chop into pieces
  • Remove baked french toast from the oven and top with bacon and banana slices
  • Enjoy!
