The Jam Stand

 

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter (softened)

2/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 3/4 cup flour 

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 jar Strawberry Jam

Heart cookie cutter (optional)

 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. 
  • In a mixer, combine butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg, making sure to scrape down the sides. 
  • In a separate bowl, incorporate flour, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add dry mixture into the wet mixture until well combined.
  • Chill dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. Flour rolling pin and a hard flat surface. Roll out your dough. Use the cookie cutter to create heart shapes. Using your thumb, make imprints of smaller hearts in the center. Fill these imprints with strawberry Jam.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
